That was then. This is now. ![]() Founding President J.W.Clark receives award Fifty years ago a group of photographers, in what was then the rural West Island of Montreal, came together to form The Lakeshore Camera Club. With the goal of sharing their love of photography, and an interest to learn from each other, The Lakeshore Camera Club was created as a place where people could come to hear stories, view great images, and share their own experiences in the world of photography. Today, as it was then, the Lakeshore Camera Club (LCC) is composed of members who share photography as a common interest. Embracing photographers of all levels, from the novice to professional, the LCC meets most Monday evenings from September to June (see the schedule for details) at Stewart Hall in Pointe Claire, Quebec. At the weekly meetings members are exposed to a wide variety of subject matter and styles enabling them to develop and further express further the common bond of photography. Whether the capture medium is digital or film, photographers of all styles and abilites are encouraged to come and participate in our weekly gatherings. Click here to view the club's constitution. |
